Two letters most people skip past. Here's why you shouldn't.

You've probably seen "RICP" and "CFEd" show up under my name and kept scrolling. Fair enough. Most credentials in this industry are just wallpaper. Something a firm makes you get so they can put a badge on the website.

These two aren't that.

RICP stands for Retirement Income Certified Professional. It's not about picking stocks or guessing where the market goes next. It's about the one question every guy in the trades eventually asks me: "I've got money saved, so how do I actually turn it into a paycheck when I'm done climbing ladders?"

That's a different skill than saving. Saving is swinging the hammer. Turning savings into income you can count on for the next 20, 30 years is framing the whole house so it doesn't fall down. Taxes, healthcare costs, market swings, how long your money needs to last. RICP means I've been trained specifically to build that plan, not just guess at it.

Certified Financial Educator is the other half. That one's not about products at all. It's about teaching. Breaking down money the way you'd walk a new guy through reading blueprints, plain language, no jargon, no talking down to anybody.

Here's why that combination matters to you specifically.

Most guys in the trades never got taught this stuff...nobody ever sat you down and explained it in a language that made sense for how you actually earn a living. Lumpy income, no HR department handing you a 401k packet, no pension waiting at the end.

I got the RICP so I know how to build you a real retirement income plan instead of a guess. I got the CFEd so I actually know how to explain it to you instead of burying you in paperwork and hoping you nod along.

That's the whole point. Not credentials for the sake of credentials. Tools, so I can build you something that works and make sure you actually understand it.

If nobody's ever walked you through what your retirement paycheck is supposed to look like, that's a conversation worth having.
